Ducks Announce Roster Cuts

The Ducks quickly cut six players from their training camp roster, bringing the number down to 43 remaining. Below is the list of players, as well as where they were assigned.

Josh Brittain – Left Wing – (Barrie/OHL)
Matt Clark – Defenseman – (Brampton/OHL)
Marco Cousineau – Goaltender – (Drummondville/QMJHL)
Nicolas Deschamps – Center – (Chicoutimi/QMJHL)
Peter Holland – Center – (Guelph/OHL)
Stefan Warg – Defenseman – (Seattle/WHL)

It’s worth noting that none of these players are 20 years old yet. I’m glad the coaching staff decided to make cuts sooner rather than later, as some players clearly did not belong. Deschamps showed he can play with kids his age, but still has a few years to go. Holland also did well in training camp, but it doesn’t look like any of these players will be able to jump from the OHL/QMJHL to the NHL.
